Church Boy By Kenneth Rwambulla

I have just finished reading Pr. Kenneth Rwambulla's first book CHURCH BOY. It is a quick read and quite interesting. He details his life growing up in a God fearing home and yet veering off into the world of alcohol, partying, unaccountability, missing church, bad influence from some friends and the end results which are suffering academic grades and distance from God.

In all this, Kenneth shares his story of redemption. His struggle to keep true to the Lord (in spite of the pull from the world of bars and poor financial decisions) never ended. Like a righteous man who falls and stands up each time, Kenneth speaks of failed attempts at self driven redemption before sharing about how God came through when he stopped fighting in his own might and determined to keep in Church. He shares the grace he received from a beautiful church Worship Harvest where he now serves as District Pastor, a loving mother, a father who never gave up on him, a brother who was always by his side and other family members that kept throwing him lifelines to survive

Kenneth writes simply and plainly. One can easily relate with his journey. On page 64, he tells the reader "I understand by now you must be frustrated with me...I was too... ". That for me is a deep honest reflection. We get drawn closer to his heart.

He also shares about his failed attempts at love and then the grace that helped him meet his wife Peggy in church. The couple is now blessed with a daughter.

As someone who has witnessed part of Kenneth's journey, I can confidently say that CHURCH BOY is a good read especially for young men and generally for Campusers.

It is also a "must read" for anyone else struggling with the search for purpose, identity and commitment for God. It is equally a good read for those who feel like they have failed to rely on God and count their blessings one by one. It further challenges us never to give up on someone and always trust God to come through for us

Thank you Kenneth for sharing your story. I know it will bless many
